I HAVE 2 JAMES MCKEES IN MY FAMILY TREE AND HAVE HIT A DEAD END. THE JAMES MCKEE YOU HAVE IN YOUR TREE COULD BE THE ONE I AM MISSING ANY INFO YOU HAVE ON THE JAMES MCKEE WOULD BE VERY USEFULL THANK YOU.
I really don't know, Donna, because I got this information from an old typewritten family "genealogy". I put the word in quotation marks because it may or may not have been researched to any real degree; no sources are listed and I am suspicious that this probably came from family members' memories -- probably mostly from my great-grandmother, Florence Elizabeth McKee REED.
The James McKee I have listed just happened to be a sibling of my great-great-great grandfather, John McKee, Jr. Other than the name and the date that was in that old typescript, I don't have any clue. He may have been born in Ohio or Indiana, but I really, at this point, don't know.
Sorry I can't be of more help.
