Hi Beth,
My post is over a year old and I was ranting. Shame on me! I've not seen the book you mention but have heard about it many times.
Familysearch.com will give 152 US and 50+other Alexander McKees. Sadly, from my experience, I've learned to doubt most everything on LDS. Sometimes it will match published sources too so I'm skeptical of books too.
My McKees are Samuel<Samuel<Elijah<George Washington<William<William. NC to TN.
