I am from Lazarus Lowrey and Elizabeth Campbell (First wife of Lazarus Lowrey) through their son Alexander Lowrey (1726-1805) who lived in Marietta, Donegal, Lancaster County, PA. Speaking in terms of land tracts in the town of Mifflin, Alleghany County, PA the land tract "Newbury" taken up by David Caldwell was patented by George Roush a relative of my G4 grandmother Martha Roush Whitaker. This land tract is neighboring to a couple tracts of land in the Hays family. A tract of land called "Goodpay" adjacent to "Newbury" was the Whitaker Farm that my ancestor, James M. Whitaker [1726-1788] owned. In the near vicinity is "Farmers Delight" which was owned by Jacob Wetzel which was acquired by my ancestor James M. Whitaker and deeded to his son Aaron Whitaker (my G4 grandfather and husband of Martha Roush Whitaker) around 1795. The tract of land in the near "Farmers Delight" owned by Sebastian Frederick, the first white settler in the area was acquired by my G5 grandfather, Alexander Lowrey. This information was obtained from the bicentennial log related to Munhall (PA) and was compiled by H. W. Boggs (I believe this Boggs family is related to the Lowrey family as the 2nd wife of Lazarus Lowrey was Anne Boggs who married first Thomas Edwards and was known as Anne Boggs Edwards). My G4 grandmother, Mary Lowrey Hay West had land through her first husband Arthur or Matthew Hays in the same area that came into the West family when Mary married upon the death of her first husband to my G4 grandfather Joseph West [1757-1841]. In short, there may be some connection between the Lowrey and Caldwell families in Mifflin, PA as many of these families were intermarried at neighboring land tract locations to the tract owned by David Caldwell.
