Hi Mark,
Just a long shot, because I have been at a brick wall on my McKee family for a long time. My GGGrandfather Nelson A. McKee was born in Indiana and came to Washington in about 1890 to join his brother in law (John J. Banta) in a settlement on the coast. It didn't work out, and he and his wife (Lemma F. Banta) and their children moved back to Tacoma where they lived until he died in 1901. They had surviving sons, Oscar Otis and Charles Preston, and a daughter Laura M. I have no information about any of the children except my GGrandfather Oscar. His family is still here in Washington.

To my knowledge, Lemma never remarried and lived with her brother (John J. Banta) in Bucoda until her death sometime in the late 1920's.

If any of this rings a bell, please let me know, I am really frustrated over the lack of progress on this line.

Thanks!

Linda Lauricella
