I, too, descend from Charlotte McKee and Joseph Pierson, through their daughter, Agnes Nancy. I have conflicting info on Joseph's backround and nothing on Charlotte's.

Supposedly, McKee's Creek in Nicholas Co. WV. was named for William McKee. Also, I have found a Robert McKee in early Kanawha Co. (of which Nicholas was a part) but can find no genealogy on them.

A biography of Clay Co. journalist Clayburn Pierson (grandson of Charlotte and Joseph) says he came from a nearly unbroken line of illigitimate McKee births. That doesn't sound very encouraging!
