Thanks for the information. If you ever find any information on Charity's sister or her sister's marriage, I would be interested. My McCane (or other spelling) could have been a female under 10 years of age in the 1810 census. She could have been the mother of my female ancestor born in 1826, Marguerite or Margaret Gorman. The Gormans (Gormons) lived in Caledonia, New York and may be the Gormons in the 1820 census but I understand the city's records were lost in a fire. I don't have any more information on the McCanes.
