I really don't have any information on the McKaigs, however Elizabeth Eskine McMorland was my great-grandmothers sister. I know that they were very close and that Elizabeth practically raised my granmother Lizzie Laurie Robb (she hated the name Lizzie and referred to herself as Elizabeth). The McMorlands were from Old Cumnock in Ayr, I imagine, but do not really know that they they had their origins in Wigtown. If you have any more information on Elizabeth Erskine and Peter McKaig I would really like to hear from you.If you would like what information I have on the McMorlands I would be glad to share it with you.
