Samuel's father was Robert J. McJunkin, b. Port Williams, Wigtown Co Scotland in 1689. He emigrated to Ireland and abt. 1719, in Steward Town, County Tyrone, married Margaret Caldwell (b. 1686 in Ireland, d.o. Robert Caldwell and Jane McGhia---more Scots living in Ireland). As far as any records show, they had two sons: William (my direct ancestor) and Samuel, b. 1725 in Co. Tyrone, Ireland, d.25 April 1808 in CHristian Co. Kentucky, unmarked grave on the Boone trail. He was married to (Mary) Ann Bogan on 9 Sept 1754. They had 5 sons: Joseph, Daniel, Samuel, John and ROger, and 4 daughters: Sarah, Jane, Margaret and Nancy Ann. Let me know if I can help you further. Kris Ingram
