Mr. Rogers, Thank you so much for your information. I have been at this for about 40 years and Troup Co really has given me lots of problems. Actually I was trying to "back-door" this because I am descended from Tabitha and her son Elisha Porter. Know that Davis must have been a pretty good step-father because Elisha named one of his sons Davis. Tabitha also had 3 older sons who all died in the Civil War, they joined 9 July in Antioch to Capt. Boykins group and never came home. I have records of the boys enlisting but then the youngest John Porter just drops out of sight and never comes home. Don't know if he got on the train with his brothers but he was never mustered in in Rickmond with the rest of Co. F. Sad times for all families. Again thank you so much for your help. Patt
