Hi All! I am looking for any researchers who are looking at the families of Phillip McIntire(1626-1719) who was born in Glenarchy, Argyllshire, Scotland who married Mary Nichols(1642-1739). I have one off their children Jonathan(1676-1738) of Reading, Middlesex, Mass. who married Martha Kreeland(1674/5-1714). I have one of their children
Alexander McIntire(1707-aft 1784)who lived in Lincoln Co., North Carolina. He married Jeanette McPherson(1715-Unknown)( the data I have on her death is completely unbelievable as the woman would have had to have lived to be 117 years old!) They were the parents of 5 children which include:
Aaron
Arcjibald,Sr.
Alexander,Jr.
Mary
James
The last two apparently were twins boen in 1735,
Mary married Joseph Greene(1719-1772) in or abt. 1755 in North Carolina and had the following children:
William D.(b. abt 1756)
Anne(b. 1758)
Delilah(1760)
Abraham(abt 1762)
Isaac(abt 1764)
Mary Olivia(abt 1766)
Delilah II(abt. 1766)
Jacob(abr. 1768)
Joseph,Jr.(abt. 1770)
Joseph died in 1771 and Mary married my 5th great grand Uncle James McAfee,Jr.(1737-1829) in 1772. They were the parents of 4 McAfee boys.
Much of this is well documented but I have as my 3rd great grandmother a Mary C. McIntire(1795-1864) who married Timothy Church(1793-1873) Mary C. was the daughter of a John McIntire(b. 1732) who was the son of James McIntire (who died in 1779 in old Tryon Co., N.C.)and the grandson of a John McIntire of Halifax, Virginia.
John McIntire (b. 1732) had a brother names Alexander(b. 1738) I am seeking information that would connect these McIntire families together( if at all) the names are too similiar to be a coincidence as the naming patterns in families such as this tended to name relatives after one another!
