Marilyn,
This is still nagging at me so please bear with me. It may turn out to be nothing, then again----we may be searching the same Hendrix family line and your Sarah is a generation later than my Sarah Jane Hendrix.
In your reply, you stated your Sarah Hendrix was b 25 Apl 1878 AL d/o John Westley Hendrix and Mary Quimby McKinnish. I agree the above Sarah Hendrix can't be the one I'm searching for, she's not old enough but-----
IGI Family Group Rec'ds states the following:
John Westley Hendrix and wife and Mary Quimby McKinnish married 21 Dec 1871 Tallapoosa co AL.
John Westley b 22 Aug 1850 AL d 6 Feb 1933 Gorie TX and is the son of Robert Hendrix b abt 1829 MS and died in AR and Mrs Robert Hendrix (ukn Mother) b abt 1831
John Westley had at the least 3 brother's.
Charles b abt 1852 AL
Elisha b abt AL
George b abt 1856 AL
Now here's my Hendrix's in Tallapoosa co AL

Robert married #2 a widow Rutha Howell-Finch in 1875 Elmore co AL. They had 1 child a daughter Mary Jane b 1876.
1887 Robert moved his families by train to LA,then oxen and wagon's on to OK but first stopped a few weeks in Strong, Union co AR were many Tallapoosa families had migrated. Among them were Grandpa George and G Uncle Elisha's wives Sarah and Maragret Burson (sisters) families. George and Elisha stayed and Robert with rest of the clan, went on to Madill OK. Some went on to Rocky and Hobart area in OK. My Hendrix's crissed/crossed back and forth from OK and AR.
The Hendrix children married in AL into the Burson,Smith,Ledbetter,Florence and Hatley as far as I know.
Around 1900 Robert/Rutha and youngest daughter Mary Jane Hendrix-Jimson moved back to Union co AR,. Robert d 1907 and Rutha 1908 and are buried in Sweet Home Cem. near Strong AR. George & Margaret, Elisha & Sarah "Sal" Hendrix are also buried there.
Charley d in 1950 Fort Smith, Sebastian co AR.
We haven't found John nor Sarah, children of Robert "RJ" and Cealy "Fannie" Stephens Hendrix.
I know this is pretty long but I wanted to share some info that might make you take notice. I really think there is a big possibily of blood here, names, dates and locations are just to familier.
Thanks for listening,
