Re John McInnes in Ireland:
I have copies of birth (really baptism) certificates for:
Edward Wells, 1865, Curragh Camp, father a Corporal, ceremony by the R.C. Chaplain to the Forces
Lucy, 1875, Dublin, father a Sergeant, ceremony by the R.C. Chaplain to HMC Prison
Missing is the cert for Archibald, b. Ireland, 1877, according to census in 1881 (4 years old), and 1891 (14). 1891 still has question mark as the child here is at school (Royal Military Asylum, Chelsea) in a list of pupils rather than with family. Needs to be followed up. I can't trace birth/baptism certificate for Archibald.
