Hamilton, grandpa;John Henry, father,Edward Wells,Harriet's father and a family name for the Treffry's and Catherine after John's mother. In the 1851 census from Glasgow[very indistinct]the address 36, Greenhill Street,Baroney:[all born Ireland]Hamilton MacGuinness,City Porter,Catherine his wife,James[21] a dyer,Jane[16]warehouse girl,John[says 13,but I would think he was 14 as he was born in December 1836]he was listed as warehouse boy,and Mary [9] a scholar. Yes, Harriet died in 1882 but Catherine, widow of Hamilton McInnes died in 1865. As records are not kept as far as Hamilton's death,we have not got an actual date.
