My cousin gave me a copy of the enlistment/discharge papers.I have investigated Hamilton McInnes who is the supposed father of John.I have come to a full stop before they came to Glasgow. If this was the family[which my cousin disputes]it would tie in with John's age and he gives the name of Hamilton as his father on the marriage certificate. No other Hamilton McInnes has been found.
Harriet Treffry is the daughter of Edward Treffry and Charlotte Martin or Martain who were married in 1838.
Are you my Uncle Walter's grandson?
