I've just come back from Mull where I was led to believe my line of the McInnes family originated (information from my father many years ago). The family was believed to own Fidden Farm in the Ross of Mull and although I found some McInnes's buried in the grave yard at Fionnphort which is the nearest village to the farm I've got no further.
From the information you have gathered it looks as if the Angus McInnes who married Jeanie Wilson may be my granfather and grandmother. Did if you know have 3 daughters and two sons? My father John was the first born son in I believe 1931 or 1932 with his elder sister Jean and I think a another sister, then Angus with Joan as the baby of the family. I did before Angus died in the early 1960's did meet him but have no memory of this event. I'm now reaching my 50th birthday and would like to know a little more of my McInnes family tree.
Any help would be apreciated. Regards David McInnes
