Here is more grave transcriptions of my family buried in Minnigaff Graveyard

"Robert McMillan, Palgowan 5.1.1844, daughter Mary died 21.7.1827 aged 26, daughter Elizabeth died 9.9.1835 aged 14, David McMillan died Alabama USA 10.8.1842 aged 47, four sons and one daughter died young, wife Elizabeth Kennedy d 25.2.1846 aged 68, son Robert d 21.12.1849 aged 32, son William tenant at Palgowan, died 8.5.1864 aged 66 (widow Helen McIlwrick, Palgowan born 28.4.1847 died 4.3.1938)

Robert may well have been the son of David McMillan of Holm and Marion McMillan of Brochloch. They would have been related before marriage. In the family tree that we have at the Heritage Centre there is a son of David's called Robert who died in 1841 (or so the family tree says) ... sometimes these are wrong! Robert was the younger brother of John McMillan of Holm (of Dalquhairn)

Would like to learn more of this family
