McIlwains in Muskoka Ontario, 1881 census

In the 1881 Canada census, there is an interesting entry for the Townships of Sinclair & Franklin, Muskoka District, Ontario. A family is enumerated, but the surname has been transcribed as "McGwain". I suspect that these are McIlwains.

For anyone who is interested, here are the particulars:
William McGwain, Irish, 53, Farmer, Presbyterian.
Mary Jane McGwain, Scottish, 40...
William Thomas McGwain, 17...
Margaret Jane McGwain, 14...
Thomas Sutcliffe McGwain, 12...

I would appreciate sharing any information that anyone may have about this family, as I believe that the daughter Margaret married George Waltenbury ca 1883. They raised their children in the Burk's Falls area. A grandson bears the name Arthur McIlwane Waltenbury.

Bob
