Looking for information on Hon. Ebenezer McIlvaine, born in Vermont, 13 Jun 1807.

Moved to York County, Pennsylvania and resided there circa 1832-early 1840s. Married a woman named Ellen (10 Jan 1816-14 Dec 1893). Had one daughter in Pennsylvania, Anna, circa 1841/2. [She married Samuel J. Gray in 1862, MI]

Moved to Niles, Berrien County, Michigan and was admitted to the bar there in October, 1843. son Richard born 27 Oct 1844. [He married Caroline Echtle, 1893 Texas]

Ebenezer McIlvaine involved in the Underground Railroad and mid-1840s lawsuit for aiding the escape of slaves.

Served as County Commissioner, Probate Judge, County Clerk.

Died in Niles, 27 OCT 1874. {Ironically, no probate record can be found}.

Looking for birth or "maiden" name of Ellen McIlvaine, burial site of Ebenezer, death date and burial for Anna McIlvaine Gray, and information about the McIlvaine family in Vermont. Willing to exchange info.
