Hi nancy- I look thru high and low on the McIlvaine genealogy. Your info on the Hugh Mcilvaine born in 1697
and had a son Hugh Jr. born about 1713 look very promising on the birth date of my Jane (Jean) Mcilvaine born in 1719.
I have yet to look into the history of the Presbyterian church of Carnmoney. I did run across a John McKnight married a Jane McIlvaine in 1844 in Carnmoney. Something for you to look into.
Will look into the surnames of Giffen and Bigger to see if there any connection with the Lancaster County PA. history dept.
Will let you know if I find anything interesting and you do likewise. Sincerely, Jim
