Here is what I know so far, Jim. At this time, I have not
been able to go back further than 1809 on James McIlwaine
he was born then. He married Agnes Giffen 20 Feb 1835 in
Carnmoney Presbyterian Ch.,Carnmoney,Antrim,Ireland. James
died 10 Feb 1876. I have 6 children listed for them so far.
They are the following names:
1-William Finlay Giffen McIlwaine b.29 Jul 1836 Carnmoney
2-Hugh Giffen McIlwaine b.5 Sep 1838 Carnmoney. He died on
7 Feb 1869 at 63 Brougham St. Belfast,Antrim, Ire. and married Elizabeth Connel Jackson. They were the parents of
a dau Jane Jackson McIlwaine b.27 Jan 1866 iin Ballymacarrett.Antrim,Ire.
3-Samuel Giffennn McIlwaine b.12 Mar 1841 Carnmoney
4-Samuel Giffen McIlwaine b.30 Apr 1843 Carnmoney. He died
29 Feb 1884 and married Margaret Boyd b.12 Nov 1844 Carnmooo.She died 4 Nov 1884. I think that she is the dau
of Richard Dawson Boyd and Mary Chisholm.
5-John Alexander McIlwaine b.13 Dec 1845 Carnmoney
6-Janet Bigger McIlwaine b.7 Jun 1848 Carnmoney
This is all that I have at this time...we are probably
related..I will try to find more..if I can.
