Hi Nancy- Was greatly interested on your info. Reason to believe there is a big connection ( closely related) of your Mcillvaine of Antrim of 1835 with the McIllvaine, Jackson, Boyd, and the Hamilton of Lancaster county, PA around the year of 1740 to 1780.
Would like more info on the inter-marriage of Jackson and Boyd.
My William Seawright married a Catherine Jackson around 1743 in Lancaster, PA ( not proven). They had one child (Esther) born in 1743 (proven) and reason to belive that Catherine Jackson Seawright died shortly after 1743. William Seawright remarried to Anne Hamilton around 1747 in Lancaster, PA and they had five children.
There were two William Hamilton living in Lancaster county, PA. One is from Salisbury township and the other if from Leacock township. The one in Salisbury married in the Boyd family. The one in Leacock married into the McIllvaine family.
At this point I have reason to believe that where the McIllvaine, Jackson, Boyd, and the Hamiltons migrated from Antrim, Ireland to America around 1729 to 1740.
My William Seawright I believe arrive from Northern Ireland to America around 1738 to 1740.He was a young man of eighteen year of age.
Better stop for now and would be greatly interested on any information that you have. Sincerely, Jim
