Berny, I have tried to connect to you via your email but have not had any luck. I am descended from James McIlrath b ca 1800 and reported to have immigrated from Ireland. I have communicated with you before about a possible connection to the McIlrath's from Northern Ireland (one of the three brothers). Jack McIlrath has been in contact with me (he is also descended from my James McIlrath). I would be interested in setting up a dna project for mcilrath, mcelrath etc. Are you aware of any male McIralth-McElrath descendants (best if one of the three identified brothers, I suppose). It would be great if Jack McIlrath and other known descendants could participate in such a project. It would also help to determine if there is a close connection of our lines and others in the USA to those of Ireland etc. We have previously communicated but did not have enough information to proceed. Jack has found information that immigration records from our James McIlrath and possibly a brother William who immigrated from Ireland. (supposed to have detailed information about place of origin and more) we are looking forward to viewing these reports. (unfortunately not available online). I look forward to communicating with you on this possible avenue of research. Larry Gaskill Notify Administrator about this message?
