Do you know if a DNA project has been set up anywhere? I, too, would be interested. I am descended from William McElrath of Spartanburg Dist., SC(probably brother of Nathanial, probably son of John, elder of Nazareth Presb.) who moved to Stewart Co, TN around 1806, and then to Calloway Co, KY in the 1820's.
I have always been curious to see how closely our two lines are related since your John (and later his brother Michael) settled near my McElraths in Spartanburg.
