(This article came from a relative’s scrapbook. The name and date of the paper are unknown.) “McHarg-Henderickson - Young Couple Wed at Sibley on March 21 A wedding of much interest to local people took place at the Presbyterian manse at Sibley, Iowa, on March 21st, when Miss Mabel McHarg of Slayton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Archie McHarg of Fulda, became the bride of Gordon Henderickson, son of Mr. and Mrs. G.H. Henderickson of Slayton. The young people just this week announced their marriage. The only witnesses to the marriage were Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Swenson of Slayton who accompanied them to Sibley for the ceremony. The bride completed her schooling in Fulda and then took a course in nurses training at the Home Hospital in Slayton where she also remained after her graduation and more recently held the responsible position of assistant superintendent. The groom is a graduate of the Slayton high school and is employed in the S & L store. Both the bride and groom have been popular in the younger set at Slayton. Mr. and Mrs. Henderickson are furnishing one of the Schoebel apartments east of the hospital where they will go to housekeeping in Slayton. The bride’s many friends in Fulda extend their very best wishes on the occasion of their marriage. Mr. and Mrs. Henderickson spent the Sunday here at the home her parents, Mr. and Mrs. McHarg.” Notify Administrator about this message?
