Lewis S. Meharg was my ggg-grandfather. I have received info that Lewis was the son of John Meharg, born in 1791 in SC, married Nancy Hammond.

John's father is listed as John Meharg,Sr., born in 1740 in Ireland, married Susannah Wood.

John Sr's father is listed as Alexander "Ireland" Meharg, born 1700 in Scotland/Ireland.

Has anyone found any new info on this line?
