Hi, Kathleen! As you know, some have suggested Dennis McHaney (m. Frances Watkins) as Terry's parents, but I don't believe this is correct. I am of the Andrew McHaney line; Terry and Andrew, whom most of us assume to be brothers, along with perhaps Cornelius, are at least related by marriage: Terry and Sarah Hubbord Luck had a son, Andrew J. McHaney m. Mary Casey Collins, the daughter of Thomas Collins m. Elizabeth Craddock; Thomas Collins' father was William Collins (m. Mary). William Collins also had a daughter, Frances "Fannie" Collins who married my direct ancestor, John Word (1738-1821). The relationships between the McHaneys, Collins, Words, and Dillons is quite convoluted at this time in Virginia, and I would be happy to share my info with you!
