I forgot to mention that my great-grandfather, Richard Sylvester McHaffie born 1832 Indiana had a son named John E. McHaffie born about 1860s. Richard's children were, from memory, George B. (stayed in Indiana); Albert; John E.; Elisha; daughter Sarah; Charles Edgar; William Robert McHaffie (born 1860 Indiana d. 1916 near Adair in n.e. OK, my grandfather); and the youngest Sanford Elwood McHaffie of Ponca City OK. Most of these including Richard, Charles, William and Sanford are all buried just east of Ketchum OK which isn't that far from Joplin MO. I know that Elisha worked in Missouri in a zinc mine (and had a big family) and I think John E. McHaffie, my Daddy's uncle, also lived in southwestern Missouri but I can't find much about him yet. I don't know much about Albert either, or whether he even grew up. Could you tell me more about your John E. McHaffie? like who he married, his kids names, his grandchildren, and where he is buried.
