I have reason to think that my gggrandmother was a McHaffey/McHaffy. Her name was Ann "Annie" L. McHaffey and she was b. about 1826 in Sackville, New Brunswick. She m. Thomas Baird after 11 Nov 1845, and they had nine children:

William Dixon "Dixon" BAIRD b. 1849
John Milton BAIRD b. 1852
Mary Jane BAIRD b. 1854 (my ggrandmother)
Eveline R. BAIRD b. 1855
Elizabeth "Lizzie" Josephine BAIRD b. 1857
Caroline F. BAIRD b. 1859
Thomas Clarke BAIRD b. 1862
Caroline L. BAIRD b. 1864
