Barbara C. McGuire a 43-year resident of Palatine A funeral Mass for Barbara C. McGuire, 75, will be held on Saturday, Oct. 6, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2515 Palatine Road, Inverness, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 5, from 3 to 9 p.m. at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine, and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, at the church. Barbara was born on March 22, 1937, in Chicago, the daughter of the late John and Margaret (nee Ludtka) Romaine, and passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at her home. She was the beloved wife of 52 years of Edward J. McGuire; loving mother of Edward P. (Diane), John (Donna), Tim (Eileen) McGuire and Barbara (Daniel) Mosier; treasured grandmother of Erin, E.J., Patrick, Liam, Conor and Cate McGuire, and Matthew and Andrew Mosier; and dear sister of Dennis (Jackie) Romaine. She is also survived by many other loving family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated in memory of Barbara for Rainbow Hospice, 1550 Bishop Court, Mount Prospect, IL 60056.
