Hi Pat.Well, I don't know about those people listed in the Bible.I haven't done extensive research yet.I'm mainly working on my direct lines to add to DAR.I plan on doing more extensive research in the future.Maybe these are Jesse's children.on the 1870 census there is a Rebecca listed as being age 4 and a Mary, age 2.I don't see another Jesse though.
As I said, I haven't studied much of the family.I have concentrated on my direct line, John, James, Jesse James, Thomas, James Washington, etc.One of these days I'll branch out.
I'm going to West Liberty in November.I plan on going to the library and looking at Isabel's book.I don't believe the library was damaged in the tornado.I have found a few references to her book online but have not read it.
I just noticed that you mentioned also that Jessie B has different birth/death dates than found in censuses and so forth....
Other circumstantial evidence pointing to James as being John's son:John, James and John Jr are listed sequentially on two Mont. Co. Ky tax lists on the same dates in 1804/1806.John and James both left Lulbegrud Church and joined South Fork Church in the same year, 1809.
This is all I can think of right now, Pat.I'm going to try to get some shut-eye, as I have to get up early for work tomorrow.
Talk to you soon,
Marla
