This William born 1807 and Edley (his brother?) have always been a loose end for me. I propose they are sons of Josiah (ca. 1765-1830), brother of Lt. William. What do you think?

1850 Western Dist., Tazewell, VA
William McGuire 43 male farmer born VA
Polly McGuire 47 fem born VA
Rachel McGuire 40 fem born VA

1850 Western Dist., Tazewell, VA
Edley McGuire 50(should be 40?) male farmer born VA
Josia McGuire 19 male farmer born VA (named after grandfather?)
Betsy McGuire 18 fem born VA (named after mother Elizabeth?)
Nancy McGuire 5 fem born TN
Polly McGuire 2 fem born VA

1860 Baptist Valley, Western District, Tazewell, VA
William McGuire 53 male farmer born VA
Polly McGuire 58 fem born VA
Edley McGuire 51 male farmer born VA
Nancy McGuire 14 fem born TN
Rachel McGuire 51 fem born VA
Alex Beavers 18 male farm laborer born VA

For what its worth:
Bird Brewster was living next to Edley in 1850.
