My grandfather was Felix Parks McGuire (1846-1918)of Ashe Co NC. He is the only person named Felix I have known outside of a couple of hispanic friends. Our familie's first McGuire to come to America was Patrick McGuire. He was born in 1740 in Doublin City. He immigrated to Americal in 1764 and settled in Northwestern NC. He served in the RW, enlisting in the Rowan Co (NC) Continental Line in 1780.

I have corresponded with Pat Meguure a time or tow. he had informaiton about my McGuire line.
