I think we are working on the same family. From the book of "Marriages of some Virginia Resdidents 1607-1800" Series I Volume 4 compiled and published by Dorothy Ford Wulfeck, 51 Park Ave, Naugatuck, Conn 1964
12 Aug 1794 Joseph m Polly Lockett (Lockhart) dau of Andrew Mar by Timothy Burgess Wythe Co. Mar. Record.
23 Feb 1778 William married Mary Shirley by Rev John Aldeson, Jr. Rockingham Co . or Greenbrier Co. Minister returns.
I'm looking for the McGuire that married Sarah Lockhart.
I don't have much information on Sarah. I haven't found much of anything on Sarah. In the book "Archives of the Pioneers of Tazewell County Virginia" Transcribed and Edited by Netti Schreiner-Yantis she is listed only once and that her listed in Andrew's will.
Andrew Lockhart left property to his wife and children and I see where William Lockhart, John Belshee (Belcher)and Josiah McGuire sell the property I still don't see anything on Sarah portion which I'm searching for now.
Hopefully we can find some answers.
