I am the gggg niece of Hugh McGuffin and ggg grandaughter of his father, Wm. McGuffin. I have most of the info available on Wm. and his wife Susannah. If you'll email me I'll be happy to send and to get you in touch with a few other McGuffin researchers who have done some wonderful work. Not much is known, as far as I know, about Wm. & Susannah before they migrated to the US., but it seems that they came from Co. Tyrone, IRE and that Susannah's maiden name was possibly Kelly. They had 12 children, and my ggg grandfather was the oldest; Hugh being the second son and second child.
