Vonda, Glad to hear from you. I will have to check this info. There are several famlies of McGuffins in TX and several Johns. The only ones I know of are in my line, one being my ggg grandfather, his son John, and the others being sons and grandsons of Hugh McGuffin. I know a John H. McGuffin in my line, but I believe his name is actually John Hugh. Henry doesn't seem to be one the McGuffin names I am familiar with, although I don't know them all. I'll take a look at what I have and see what I can come up with. I have a huge file on the McGuffins that stayed in SC. I will look there, asap. Meanwhile, is what you sent the only info you have? Do you have any additional dates or parentage?
Another person you should contact from the message board is Betty at I believe bettyAM@aol.com. She knows lots of McG info, and Marshall Williams. Put Marshall's name in the search engine of the board and you'll get his address. They are both nice and most helpful. Gordon McGuffin is another great guy who is extremely helpful, but I can't get ahold of him. He isn't answering his emails for some reason.
