My mother in law passed away last year and several have asked for info to add to your database. Here is her obit. Marguerite Worthington McGuffin, 83 of Ozark, Alabama, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002, at her residence following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Willis officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday. Mrs. McGuffin was born Dec. 6, 1918, in Andalusia and lived there her early years of her life. She was employed with civil service for over 30 years prior to her retirement in the mid 1980's while at Fort Rucker. She resided in Montgomery prior to moving to Dothan in 1975. Mrs. McGuffin was a member of Newton United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Frederick Jacob McGuffin, Ozark; three children, Frederick A. McGuffin and his wife, Wanda, Pearl City Hawaii, Susan Beasley and husband, John, Dothan, Harold Riggs, Pensacola, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Juanita McDaniel, Eclectic; several nieces and nephews. Serving as active pallbearers will be John Beasley, Jeremy McGuffin, Joe England, Tim Johnson, Fred Plum, Merlin Williamson, David Williamson and Judson McKnight.
