I believe that James L. McGuffey was my great great great grandfather. He was married to Georgia Ann McGuffey. They lived in North Georgia within walking distance to chattanooga. My Grandfather Eddie Lee McGuffey Lived with Georgia Ann McGuffey during his youth and had recounted a story about how he would walk to Chattanooga. Ed McGuffey was married to Erma McGuffey and had five sons Jack, Jerry, Dave, Joe and Ferrell (died when an infant). James L. McGuffey deserted Georgia Ann McGuffey and remarried and moved to Alabama. I would Like to find information on his lineage past or present.
