Deb,You can eliminate James,son of Jesse.This James was born 28Nov1836 and married Susan Hatfield. I also believe you can eliminate James son of Jacob. My data from an unproven Family Group Sheet for Jacob shows his James married to Elizabeth Jane Tolbert on 13 Jan. 1846 in Roane County TN.I guess this narrows your search.Good Luck! Jim
