Hi, I've just begun to look for relatives/ancestors of John Weir McGuff. He went to NY in 1893. His father was Archibald McGuff, mother Ann Rowan of Glasgow, Scotland. John was born in 1870, had a brother William W, who also immigrated to US.
He had a sister Maggie, a stewardess with a steamship at the time, who remained in West End Glasgow, lived on Clarendon St.
John had 3 children, lived in Philadelphia, PA, moved to Wildwood, NJ in the 1940's until his death in 1955.
