Sorry. The two John Lewis McGrew's are the same person. This John Lewis was probably born in TN in Dec 1837. He was the son of John H. McGrew originally of SC. John H. was probably the grandson of Thomas McGrew of SC and maybe Co. Tyrone. We have several members of the Project in that line.

I'm still interested in getting a DNA sample of one of your male McGrew cousins. A sample would certainly decide if your line was Scots or Omagh Irish.
