Yes I know, we corresponded with each other that same day nearly a month ago by e-mail. The same day I believe. He descends from Thomas' second wife whom I believe to be most likely the sister or possibly cousin of Margaret Curry. You do realize Thomas was in Charles Town South Carolina at the time of Margaret's death after the birth of William. He returned for his family, remarried, being the father of small children, the culture of that period usually dictated the marriage to a close family member of the deceased. His son from that marriage is Dan's connection.
One other mystery to ponder about Thomas McGrew (1732/1833) would be; Who is, where was she from, and when did Thomas marry his third wife, Sally? Did you know of her existance. I am presently digging up this information near my home. Just over the line in New Concord, KY.
If you do not have proof of Thomas' birth being in Penn. instead of Omagh, Ireland, I can send you copies of the five pieces I have possession of. There are more. These are sworn statements made by Thomas himself, not recolections of people three or four generatios later in their old age. I tend to place vastly greater value on sworn legal papers and historical documents than I do family recollections as people tend to embellish slightly.
