I'm looking for any descendants of James McGregor born about 1801 in Scotland (probably Glasgow). He married Margaret Taylor 17 Dec 1832. Margaret was the daughter of James Taylor and Ann Paterson (md. 15 June 1803). She was born about 1811 in Fores Morayshire Scotland. She died 23 Mar 1890 at the Barnhill Poor House near Glasgow. James and Margaret had the following children:
1. Margaret McGregor b. 1 March 1833-Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland.
2. William Taylor McGregor b. 2 Mar 1834 Glasgow, Scotland
3. Elizabeth McGregor c. 29 Mar 1835 Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland.
4. Alexander McGregor b. 7 July 1835
5. Mary McGregor b. 23 Feb 1838 Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland.
6. Catherine McGregor b. 25 Aug 1839 Old Monkland, Lanark, Scotland.
7. George Paterson McGregor b. 11 Feb 1840 Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland
8. Andrew McGregor b. 29 Jan 1842 Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland
9. Margaret McGregor b. 25 July 1844 Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland.
10. Andrew McGregor b. 2 April 1847 Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland.
11. Charles Bain Ross McGregor b. 21 Febr 1850 Glasgow, Scotland.
12. Agnes McLellan McGregor b. 24 Nov 1852 Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland.
13. William McGregor b. 13 Dec 1856 Redgorton Perth
Their son William Taylor McGregor took his family to Australia in 1882. Their son George Paterson McGregor took his family to Pembroke Canada between 1865 and 1871 as two sons were born there in 1871 and 1873. George Paterson McGregor then went back to Scotland for a time before emigrating to the United States before 1878 when a daughter was born in Minnesota.
George Paterson McGregor is my gr.grandfather. I would like to correspond with anyone having knowlege of this family. Anything would be appreciated.
