I just do not know if there is any link. Have you made a typo, if not why is Ann called McGregor, when Robert's name is Whyte?
My Ann McGregor lived for 30 years after the death of her husband Archibald Lamont. I do not know if she married again, but it is possible. If you can find the death date of that Ann, and the place, which I have, then we will know.
Esther is not on my list at all. What I have is Robert McGregor, marrying Margaret Whyte, place and date unknown, with a daughter Ann born in 1801, or 1802.
Maybe you could tell me how far Paisley from Dunoon. I have found that they did not travel far in those days, but there is always the exception. Have you had a look at "The People of The Powder Mill". My Whytes and McGregors are there, but I do not know in what order, or who is related to who.
