Hi, Surnames involved include: Blow/Bleau/Bouvier/Boyer/Courcy/Hammer/Lessard/McGraw/Theriault I haven’t posted in quite a while. Starting to look at the ancestry again. Here is what my brother (Bill) and I have pulled together thus far: Grandfather Robert Blow (Jr), b 11/10/08 (Nashua), d 2/5/63 – (Nashua, NH), spouse Mable (McGraw) Blow, 1 son, 2 daughters. His brothers/sisters: Joseph Henry Blow – b 1/13/1898 (? No children) Mildred (Blow) Lessard – b 12/3/1901 (Platsburg, NY?), d 12/81 (MA) spouse Leo Lessard, 5 sons, 4 daughters Leo Blow – b 4/8/1904, d 11/80 (Nashua, NH), spouse Ellen (Carpenter) Blow, 1 son (Ellen 1 son prior marriage) Pearl (Blow) Courcy – b 3/23/1911, d 9/97 (Nashua, NH), spouse (2 daughters, ++?) His parents: William Henry Blow (b @ 1879) Elizabeth (Boyer) Blow – b 4/6/81 (Platsburg NY), d 6/1/60 – her father Joseph Boyer, her mother Philomene (Bouvier) Boyer – taken from obituary Nashua Telegraph, 6/2/1960. ************************************************************** Grandmother Mable (McGraw) Blow, b 5/14/1914 (Maine?), d Jan 1993 (Milford, NH) spouse Robert Blow (Jr) 1 son, 2 daughters. Her brothers/sisters: Joseph McGraw – b @ 1911 Odella (Aunt "Dell") McGraw – b @ 1913 Evelyn (Aunt "Billie" McGraw) Hammer - b @ 1917 Her parents (this is where I am struggling-taken from census): Ben McGraw (born New Brunswick) Phoebe (Theriault) McGraw (born ? Maine) The 1910 Census (Maine, Aroostock County, Ashland Town) shows a Ben McGraw (30y), Phoebe (19y) and Joseph (?y) The 1920 Census (Maine, Aroostock County, Eagle Lake) shows Ben McGras(36), Phebe (26), Joseph (9), Adella (7), Mabelle (5)and Evaline (sp) 3. My thoughts are in the 1920 census, when asked for their last name one of them said “the McGraws” and if there was a heavy accent, it was documented as “the McGras”. The 1930 Census (NH) shows Mabel (15y) and Odella (17) as being boarders, born in Maine, father born in New Brunswick and mother born in Maine. I am hoping someone else has information that aligns with the above. My prior postings (1999 ->) were with family nickname “Kay”. I can provide more information on some things if this rings a bell for anyone. Would appreciate hearing from anyone with information that ties into our family. Thanks for any help … Karen Notify Administrator about this message?
