My McGrath ancestor was Denis McGrath (b. ca. 1787; d. Mar 1862 in Frontenac Co., Ontario), who married ca. 1818 in Forkhill, Co. Armagh, Bridget Murphy (b. ca. 1793; d. Apr 1853 in Frontenac Co., Ontario).
Denis and Bridget emigrated to Ontario in 1825, along with Denis's sister Mary (m. to James Stanley) and brother Patrick (m. to Rose McNamee).
Denis and Mary had as children: John (m. Johannah Daly) & Mary (m. James Murphy), both b. in Co.. Armagh, Ireland, Patrick (m. Ellen Spooner), Thomas (m. Catherine McGarvey & Sophia Greaza), James (d in infancy), Ann (m. Bernard Kennedy), Bridget (necer married), & James (?married?), all born in Ontario.
Their descendants are living all over Canada and the United States.
