Caroline Hampton McGowen and George Crawford McGowen, Screven County, GA

I am looking for information on Caroline Hampton McGowen, daughter of John Hampton. John Hampton was born about 1795 in Georgia, possibly in Screven County or nearby area. He married Charlotte (surname unknown) about 1825 in Screven County. John was a farmer according to the 1850 census. There were several children in this census: Mary and Samuel A., who appear to be twins, born about 1828; David W., born about 1833; James, born about 1842, and Caroline, born about 1845.

Caroline married George Crawford McGowen in June, 1862 in Burke County. Caroline is shown as a widow on the 1880 census. In later census years, the last being 1900, she is shown living in the household of her daughter Cornelia and son-in-law Thomas W. Baughman in Screven County. Caroline Hampton McGowen is presumed to have died between 1900 and 1910, since she does not show up on the 1910 census. If anyone knows where Charlotte Hampton McGowen and George Crawford McGowen are buried, or any information on the family, please respond. I have information to share on their descendents.
