I am trying to find information about my ggg-grandfather, Thomas McGowen. He was married to Bridget O'Day. I do not have any other info on him but, according to family sources, his son John was born in 1820 in County Clare.
John married Susan Coughlin ABT. 1846 and they moved to Hinsdale, New York in 1848. They later moved to Ohio and then Illinois. The 1880 US census shows the family in Seward, NE.
John and Susan had 8 children: Thomas, John and Ann (twins), George, James, Susie, Mary and Nell.
George, my g-grandfather, married Delia Foster in 1883 and they had two boys: John and Harold, and nine girls: Nellie, Ann, Susie, Catherine, Lillian, Mary, Gladys, Ruth and Gertrude.
John, my grandfather, married Agnes Randal in 1921 at Saint Patrick's Church in McCook, NE and they had four children:
Donald, John, Bernis (my mother) and George.
I'd like to find any info at all about Thomas and/or Bridget or if this line looks familiar to you I have quite a bit more information about those I mentioned above and would love to hear from you.
