I am looking for family history about my grandfather's family.
Ross was born between 1886 - 1891
He was possibly born in County Cork Ireland, or was born in the US shortly after his family emigrated to Pennsylvania.
Ross was a small man in stature and was a professional horserace jockey. He died suddenly of a heart attack in 1921.
Because his family were strict Catholics, he was excommunicated when he married a divorcee (my grandmother).
The only relative who secretly maintained contact with him was his sister - I believe her name was Carrie. I also believe he had other sibblings, but have nothing more to go on.
His family lived in the Altoon PA area - Ross had moved to Detroit.
Any information you might have will be greatly appreciated.
