George McGough was my uncle. George Arthur McGough (December 24, 1911–June 27, 1974), married Irene Marie Anderson in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, on May 4, 1940, and died in Dumas, Texas. George and Irene had seven children: Mary Ann McGough (Ormson), Richard George McGough, John Stephen McGough, Patricia Jeanne McGough (Trask-1971) (Nulman-1980), Paul Francis McGough, Elizabeth Kay McGough (Yarish), and Kathleen Joan McGough (Betstone). They raised their family in Rice Lake (Barron County), Wisconsin, and George operated a bakery business with his brother, my Uncle Gene (Francis Eugene McGough).
