Charles, Was he first McGloughlin?

Charles McGloughlin is said to have been born in North Carolina, no location given.
His wife was Serena Tubb, also born somewhere in NC. They were married on 2-24-1830, in Perry Co., Alabama. I think they were young members of two families, which moved to Perry Co. from NC in a group migration.
Each of them was probably born between 1795 and 1815.
Who were their parents? From what part of NC did they emigrate? Did either have siblings?
Charles, or his father, changed the spelling of the surname to McLaughlin, and Charles and Serena's daughter was Nancy Irene McLaughlin, b. 6-22-1840, in Perry Co.
I am expecting a slow response to this query, since I am the first to be on this posting board. But whoever comes along to look is welcome to add any info to mine, shown above. Thanks Joe Duke
